Our team of qualified and experienced allied health practitioners work relentlessly to bring a positive difference to the lives of persons with disabilities. We are proud to say that we are one of the most established NDIS providers in Melbourne providing services like Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Early Childhood Intervention, ABA Therapy, and Disability Support. 

Job responsibilities of a Welfare Support Worker

Assisting participants and their families in navigating social, emotional and financial challenges by equipping them with useful information and skills.

Interviewing participants to assess their needs and challenges in daily living.

Developing, planning and executing educational, training and support initiatives.

Monitoring and reporting progress made by clients.

Preparing reports to be submitted to the government and other agencies for funding and resources. 

Referring clients to agencies for additional services.

Liaising with community groups, welfare agencies, private businesses and government departments to spread awareness about community needs of individual with disabilities.

Liaising with said groups to advertise about our services and resources. 

Supervising offenders on probation or parole. 

Complete case notes and review clients’ files according to internal audit processes.

Attend care teams meeting, staff meetings, review meetings and quarterly professional development meetings.

Qualifications and experience

Bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology

Certificate in Disability Support Work or Diploma in Community Services

Three or more years’ work experience in a similar position

Experience working with people with disabilities, mental health conditions, the homeless and/or victims of domestic violence

Remuneration:

Depending on your qualification and experience, you can expect to draw anywhere between $45,000 to $55,000 annually excluding super and travel allowances.
